What We Believe

We believe:

In the one eternal God who is creator of all things. He exists in three persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

That our sin, and ungodly behaviour, has separated each of us from God and his purpose for our lives.

That the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only one who can bring us back to God. He lived a sinless and perfect life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again victoriously over sin and death.

That in order to receive forgiveness from God, we all need to repent (turn from) our sins, and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

That the Bible is God’s inspired word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our every day lives.

That we are able to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, by the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

That baptism by immersion, and celebrating communion have been given to the church as outward and visible signs of the gospel and we receive them by faith.

That God has individually equipped us to fulfil our role in the church family, serve the community in which we live and beyond.

That God wants to heal and transform us, so that we can live godly and generous lives in order to help and serve others more effectively.

That our eternal destination of either heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

That the Lord Jesus Christ will return in power and glory to establish a new heaven and new earth. A kingdom free from sin, sickness, suffering, pain, sorrow and death.
